Smart Cyber-Physical Systems – EC Clustering Event
When? 14 April 2016 (all-day event)
Where? Hofburg Vienna, Austria
The event is organized by the Horizon2020 project Road2CPS on behalf of the European Commission in collaboration with ARTEMIS-IA and is free of charge.
The European Commission and the Road2CPS Consortium are delighted to invite you to take part in the Smart Cyber-Physical Systems Clustering Event, organised in conjunction with the ARTEMIS IA Spring Event (13 April) and the international conference “CPS Week” (12-14 April).
The deployment of Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) is expected to increase substantially over the next decades, holding great potential for novel applications and innovative product development. Digital technologies have already penetrated day-to-day life massively, affecting all kinds of interactions between humans and their environment. However, the inherent complexity of CPSs, as well as the need to achieve optimum performance and to comply with essential standards for safety, privacy and security raises many questions that are explored by the international research community. Moreover, CPS bring a step change in the way industry designs, produces and generates value from products and related services. Read more about CPS on the EC website http://ec.europa.eu/digital-agenda/en/cyber-physical-systems .
This all-day event will bring together about 150 experts from academia, industry and policy-making to learn about and discuss highlights of Cyber-Physical Systems projects from Horizon2020 and ARTEMIS. The event is particularly set to foster exchange on and creating synergies regarding CPS innovation perspectives and generating strategies for the future. Discussion points and inputs from this event will be taken up by the Road2CPS project and fed into the development of a joint action plan for the future development of CPSs.
Participation in the ARTEMIS IA Spring Event on 13 April 2016 (afternoon) is offered free of charge. Registered participants are also eligible to visit the CPS Week on 13 and 14 April 2016 free of charge (website www.cpsweek.org/2016/ ). Speakers and further event details will be announced in the coming weeks.
